Saudi twin brothers Saleh Abdullah Bakhashwin, known as “Rw9,” and Yazeed Abdullah Bakhashwin, known as “Kiileerrz,” have become the first Saudi players to win an Esports World Cup trophy after leading Team Falcons to the Rocket League title at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris.
In the final, Team Falcons defeated Spacestation Gaming 4–0, securing the club’s first Rocket League Esports World Cup title. The 2026 lineup featured the two Saudi twins alongside Moroccan player dralii. The first-place team prize was $400,000, while Rw9 earned an additional $25,000 as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
The Paris triumph capped a remarkable run for the pair. In 2024, the twins represented Saudi Arabia at the FIFAe World Cup featuring Rocket League and were crowned world champions alongside teammates trk511 and d7oom-24.
Their momentum continued into 2025, when they helped Team Falcons win the RLCS Raleigh Major, defeating Dignitas 4–1 in the final. On that occasion, Kiileerrz was named MVP of the event.
Why it matters
The achievement marks a milestone for Saudi esports, with two local players now holding a major international trophy on the global stage. Their success adds to the growing profile of homegrown talent in competitive gaming and highlights the wider ambitions of the Kingdom in hosting and shaping the esports scene.
