Saudi Arabia's digital economy contributed 16.0% of gross domestic product in 2025, reaching roughly one-sixth of the national economy and underscoring the growing weight of technology in the Kingdom's overall output.
the sector's share of GDP rose from 15.6% in 2023 to 16.0% in 2024, an increase of 0.4 percentage points. The figures reflect steady expansion across the Kingdom's digital and technology industries.
The survey breaks the sector into two components. The broad digital economy accounted for 10.9% of GDP in 2024, while the core digital economy — which covers information and communications technology (ICT) goods and services — represented 2.7% of GDP.
ICT Market Value
The Kingdom's ICT market was valued at approximately SAR 199 billion in 2025. The wider telecommunications and technology market is projected to reach around SAR 199 billion by the end of the 2026 financial year, signalling continued momentum in digital infrastructure and services.
For residents and businesses across the Kingdom, the numbers point to an economy increasingly built on digital services, connectivity, and technology-driven activity. This shift supports faster online services, expanding e-commerce, and a growing base of tech-enabled jobs — developments that touch the daily lives of both citizens and expatriates in cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
