TASI Edges Up 0.19% on September 3, 2026

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), the main benchmark of the Saudi Exchange, closed higher on 3 September 2026, finishing at about 11,032.9 points, up roughly 20.7 points, or about 0.19% from the previous session. Gains were driven mainly by financial, utilities, and materials shares.

Trading activity was moderate, with volume around 200 to 204 million shares and turnover of about SAR 3.9 billion. The index opened near 11,019.6 points, touched an intraday high of about 11,075.5 and a low of about 11,005.2 before settling at the close. Advancing stocks outnumbered decliners, with roughly 141 gainers against 106 fallers.

Among the session's notable movers, Saudi National Bank added close to 1%, while Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) rose about 1.4%. Because TASI is free-float market-capitalization weighted and includes more than 200 listed companies, heavyweight sectors such as financials, utilities, and materials carry significant influence over the index's direction.

Why it matters

For residents and investors following the local market, the index remains a key indicator of business sentiment across the Kingdom. Stock trading and index data are handled through the Saudi Exchange and licensed brokers, with investors accessing the market via brokerage platforms under Capital Market Authority regulations.

Trading follows official Saudi Exchange hours, with a continuous afternoon session in Riyadh time and a closing auction that determines end-of-day prices, under CMA rules covering market conduct, disclosure, and a T+2 settlement cycle. Fees and commissions, covering trading, settlement, and custody, are set by individual brokers and the Saudi Exchange fee schedule in Saudi Riyal and vary by provider.
