Plans for Westfield Riyadh, a major retail and entertainment complex in northwest الرياض, are moving ahead, with new details revealed about the project's scale and layout. Developed by Cenomi Centers under the Westfield brand through a long-term franchise partnership, the mall is scheduled to open in September 2026.
The complex is located on King Khalid Road / Prince Turki Ibn Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road, next to the Al Raed district in northwest الرياض. Previously known as the Jawharat Riyadh project, it was rebranded to Westfield Riyadh following the franchise agreement in 2025. Structural works were reported at around 98% completion in late 2025, and the project remains on schedule.
What visitors can expect
Built on a total footprint of about 500,000 m², the development offers a gross leasable area ranging between 185,000 m² and more than 220,000 m², including around 65,000 m² of Grade A office space. It is planned to host between 300 and more than 500 retail brands, with 75+ flagship stores and at least 30 brands making their debut in the Kingdom.
A dedicated luxury precinct of around 30,000 m² will feature over 90 high-end fashion and lifestyle brands. Design highlights include a 38,000 m² skylight promoted as the largest in the region, 27-metre floor-to-ceiling heights, and 30-metre-wide corridors, alongside themed zones such as Boulevard, Fashion Avenue, High Street, Luxury District, Park Avenue, Promenade Walk, Urban Avenue and Volcano.
The mall is targeting LEED Gold certification, positioning it as the first LEED Gold-certified shopping mall in the Kingdom. Once stabilised, it is expected to draw between 20 and 24 million visitors annually, adding a significant new destination to الرياض's growing retail and leisure scene.
