Saudi Inflation Holds Steady at 1.8% in July 2026

Saudi Arabia's annual inflation rate held steady at 1.8% in July 2026, marking the third consecutive month at the same level and pointing to continued stability in consumer prices across the Kingdom.

The Consumer Price Index reached 105.6 in July 2026, up from 103.8 in the same month a year earlier. On a monthly basis, prices edged up just 0.2% compared with June 2026, while the annual figure was unchanged from the previous month.

The main contributor to yearly price growth was the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group, which rose 4.2%. Food and beverage prices climbed 1.5%, while transport costs increased 1.4%, reflecting where households continue to feel the most upward pressure.

Why it matters

For residents and expats in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, a stable inflation rate means everyday budgeting remains predictable, with no sharp jumps in the overall cost of living. Housing and utilities remain the categories worth watching most closely for families and individuals planning monthly expenses.

The steady reading over three months suggests that broad price pressures are contained, even as specific groups such as accommodation and food register modest gains. Saudi Living will continue to track key economic indicators that affect the daily lives of the community.
