Akasa Air has extended the suspension of all its flights to and from Jeddah, with the pause now in effect through October 21, 2026. The airline said the decision is linked to the regional security situation.
The extension means travellers who had booked seats on the carrier's Jeddah routes will not be able to fly during this period and will need to decide on alternative arrangements for their trips.
Passengers affected by the suspension have two main options. They may request a full refund, which will be returned to the original method of payment within seven days. Alternatively, they can reschedule their journey to a later date without paying any additional charge.
How passengers manage these changes depends on how the ticket was purchased. Those who booked directly with Akasa Air can arrange a refund or rescheduling through the airline's “Manage Booking” function or its customer-care channels. Travellers who booked through a travel agent or other partner should contact that original agent to process any changes.
For residents and travellers in Jeddah, the main point is to review bookings early and choose between a refund or a new travel date well ahead of any planned journey. It is worth noting that this is an airline operational matter: no Saudi government fee, Absher or Muqeem procedure, or validity period applies to the flight suspension or the airline refund.
