Al Ahli Appoint Marino Pusic to Replace Jaissle

Al Ahli have officially confirmed the appointment of Marino Pusic as the club's new head coach, replacing Matthias Jaissle. The announcement was listed on the club's official channels on 6 August 2026.

Pusic has signed a contract that runs until 2028, giving the technical staff a multi-season window to shape the squad and build on the team's direction.

The change comes after Jaissle departed, having been linked with a move to Newcastle United. His exit opened the door for the club to move quickly and secure a new coach for the upcoming stretch of competition.

For Al Ahli's supporters in Jeddah and across the Kingdom, the appointment brings clarity on the bench ahead of a demanding season. A contract through 2028 signals the club's intent to pursue stability and continuity in its footballing project rather than short-term changes.

Fans will now be watching to see how Pusic sets up the team, which players feature in his plans, and how the squad responds under his leadership in the weeks ahead.
