Al-Hilal maintained their flawless start to the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League season with a 2-0 win over Al-Shabab at Al-Shabab Club Stadium in Riyadh on 4 September 2026. The result extended the club's perfect run to five wins from five matches and kept them at the top of the table.
Sergej Milinković-Savić opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, before Rúben Neves added a second late in the second half in the 87th minute to seal the victory. The evening fixture kicked off at 21:00 local time.
The win leaves Al-Hilal on 15 points, having played five, won five, drawn none and lost none. The team has scored 17 goals and conceded just three so far this season, giving them a goal difference of +14 and a firm hold on first place.
Al-Shabab, meanwhile, remain without a win. After five matches they have three draws and two defeats, placing them 13th with three points, five goals scored and nine conceded for a goal difference of –4.
