Al-Khaleej Stun Al-Fateh 3-2 in Pro League Comeback

Al-Khaleej produced a dramatic comeback to defeat Al-Fateh 3–2 in the Saudi Pro League on 18 October 2026, scoring three unanswered goals after trailing by two. The match was played at Al-Fateh's home ground in Al-Mubarraz, in the Al-Ahsa region.

The hosts started strongly and raced into a 2–0 lead through Lucas Haraslín and Wilfried Kanga, appearing set to take all three points before their visitors mounted a late fightback.

The turnaround began in the 78th minute when Musa Barrow pulled one back for Al-Khaleej. Joshua King then levelled the score in the 84th minute, setting up a tense finish. The decisive moment arrived deep into stoppage time, as Omar Mascarell struck the winner in the 93rd minute to complete the comeback.

Why it matters

Comebacks of this kind add to the growing drama of the Saudi Pro League, which continues to attract strong interest from fans and football communities across the Kingdom, including residents and expats in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province. A late winner like Mascarell's is the sort of moment that keeps supporters following the competition week to week.

For Al-Khaleej, the three points offer an important boost, while Al-Fateh will be left to reflect on surrendering a two-goal lead on home soil.
