Al Moammar Expands AI Data Center with HUMAIN to 250MW

Al Moammar Information Systems has received a letter of award to significantly expand its artificial intelligence data center project developed in partnership with HUMAIN. The expansion will raise the project's capacity from 50 megawatts to 250 megawatts.

Under the award, an additional 200 megawatts will be delivered in phases, marking a fivefold increase in the facility's planned capacity. The project centers on infrastructure designed to support artificial intelligence workloads.

Why it matters

Data centers are a core building block of the growing digital economy, providing the computing power needed to run advanced AI applications. Expanding capacity on this scale points to rising demand for AI infrastructure within the Kingdom.

For residents and businesses, larger local data center capacity can mean stronger digital services, faster access to advanced computing, and more opportunities in technology-driven sectors. The phased rollout of the added 200 megawatts allows the project to scale gradually as it develops.
