Azka Farmers Market: Dates Edition in Jeddah

Jeddah is set to host a special three-day edition of the Azka Farmers Market dedicated entirely to Saudi dates. Titled Azka Farmers Market: Dates Edition, the event runs from Thursday 3 September to Saturday 5 September 2026, daily from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, at Hayy Jameel arts complex in the Al Mohammadiyah district.

The themed edition brings together local farmers and producers to showcase a diverse selection of dates sourced from all 13 regions of Saudi Arabia, alongside seasonal produce, refreshments, and artisanal products. Visitors can meet growers directly, learn about different date varieties, and buy fresh from farms and small producers.

General entry is free and open to all ages, with no prior booking required — access is on a first-come, first-served basis within opening hours. Some workshops at Hayy Studio 1 and selected kids' activities require online registration through the event's official booking page and operate with limited capacity. No government app or platform integration is needed; registration is handled directly through the venue's own pages.

What to expect on site

Local dates typically range from about 20 to 80 SAR per 500 g–1 kg pack depending on variety and packaging, while premium or gift-boxed selections may cost more. Food stalls offer fresh juices, coffee, and snacks from around 10 to 35 SAR with light meals and specialty dishes generally between 30 and 70 SAR Many kids' creative activities and community walks are free once inside.

Designed to highlight Saudi agricultural heritage, biodiversity, sustainability, and healthy living, the market is integrated with Hayy Jameel's ongoing art exhibitions, offering families a full cultural and community outing over the weekend.
