Bader AlReziza Elected Saudi Football President

Bader AlReziza has been elected president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation for the 2026–2030 term, taking the helm of one of the Kingdom's most-followed sports bodies.

The vote took place at the federation's Extraordinary General Assembly in Riyadh, where AlReziza was chosen by acclamation. His election gives him a leadership mandate covering the next four years.

AlReziza succeeds Yasser Al-Misehal, who had headed the federation. The four-year term positions the new leadership to oversee the country's football agenda through 2030.

Why it matters

Football remains the most popular sport in Saudi Arabia, drawing large crowds to stadiums and huge audiences across the Kingdom. The federation president plays a central role in shaping the domestic game, from professional leagues to national teams and grassroots development.

The new four-year term coincides with a period of significant growth and investment in Saudi sport, keeping football at the heart of community life for both residents and expats across Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond.
