Biryani Cooking Contest Set for LuLu Malaz, Riyadh

A biryani cooking competition is heading to Riyadh, with the finale of the “Vijay Dum Dum Biryani” contest scheduled for 25 September 2026 at LuLu Hypermarket in Malaz. The event will bring 20 finalists together to compete for cash prizes across two categories.

The finalists earned their places through semi-final rounds held in Dammam, Riyadh, and Jeddah, reflecting the wide reach of the competition across the Kingdom’s main cities. The contest is organised by Gulf Madhyamam and MeFriend.

Competitors will face off in two categories: “Biryani Raja” and “Biryani Dum Star.” In each category, the winner will take home SAR 10,000, the runner-up will receive SAR 5,000, and the third-place finisher will be awarded SAR 2,000.
