Akasa Air Moves to Terminal 4 at Jeddah Airport

Akasa Air passengers flying through Jeddah will use a new departure point starting Tuesday, September 29, 2026, when the carrier's flights move to Terminal 4 at King Abdulaziz International Airport. Operations are shifting from the Hajj and Umrah Terminals Complex, B3.

The move follows the phased opening of Terminal 4, which began operations on September 27, 2026. The new terminal is planned to handle around 15 million passengers a year, adding significant capacity to one of the Kingdom's busiest airports.

What travelers should know

The change affects only which terminal Akasa Air uses in Jeddah. Passengers should confirm the terminal listed on their Akasa Air booking, boarding pass, or the airport's flight-information displays before heading to the airport, as terminal assignments can be updated.

For residents and visitors in Jeddah, the transition is worth noting when planning airport arrival times, drop-offs, and connections. Allowing extra time to locate the correct terminal can help avoid last-minute confusion, especially during the early days of the relocation.

The expansion at King Abdulaziz International Airport reflects continued efforts to grow passenger capacity and improve the travel experience for the millions of people who pass through Jeddah each year.
