Chipotle to Open First Saudi Restaurant in Riyadh

Chipotle Mexican Grill is entering the Saudi market for the first time, with its debut restaurant in Riyadh set to open later in August 2026. The new branch is located at Sidra, a dining-focused retail center next to Granada Mall.

The Riyadh opening comes through a partnership with Alshaya Group, under a franchise development agreement covering the Middle East. The launch marks the popular fast-casual Mexican brand's first presence in the Kingdom.

What's on the menu

The Riyadh menu features the brand's signature line-up of burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and salads. Diners can customize their orders with a choice of proteins, rice, beans, salsas and toppings, along with hand-mashed guacamole, all prepared in an open kitchen.

Based on comparable Chipotle outlets elsewhere in the region, main items such as burritos and bowls are likely to fall in the region of SAR 35 to 45, with extras like guacamole around SAR 8 to 15. Official Saudi price points have not yet been published and may vary by location.

Opening hours for the Sidra branch have not been confirmed, though international fast-casual outlets in Riyadh's mall-adjacent dining areas typically operate daily from around 11:00 until late evening, with extended hours on weekends.

For Riyadh residents, the arrival adds another globally recognized casual-dining option to the city's fast-growing food scene, and reflects continued interest from international brands in expanding across the Kingdom.
