Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif has been appointed Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia by royal decree issued on 12 February 2026, taking over one of the Kingdom's key economic portfolios.
Al-Saif succeeds Khalid Al-Falih, who had led the Ministry of Investment since 2020. Al-Falih has been reassigned to the role of Minister of State.
The Ministry of Investment is responsible for attracting and regulating both domestic and foreign investment across the Kingdom, working to expand the private sector's contribution to the national economy.
The appointment forms part of the broader institutional framework supporting the Kingdom's economic diversification goals under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to grow non-oil sectors and open new opportunities for local and international businesses.
For the residents and business community across Riyadh, Jeddah and other cities, the Ministry of Investment remains a central point of contact for company setup, licensing and investor services. Saudi Living will continue to follow any updates related to the ministry's services and priorities under its new leadership.
