Fahd Al-Saif Named Saudi Minister of Investment

Saudi Arabia has announced leadership changes at the Ministry of Investment. By royal decree issued on 12 February 2026, Fahd bin Abduljalil Al-Saif was appointed Minister of Investment, succeeding Khalid Al-Falih in the role.

Under the same royal order, Khalid Al-Falih was relieved of his position as Minister of Investment and appointed Minister of State and a member of the Council of Ministers (the Cabinet).

The reshuffle is limited to leadership and portfolio changes. No new official fees, investor-license prices, or procedural steps have been announced in connection with the change so far. The Ministry of Investment continues to operate under the Invest Saudi brand, with its main official online channel remaining the Invest Saudi portal (investsaudi.sa) for investment information and licensing services.

What it means for the community

For investors, business owners, and expats considering ventures in the Kingdom, day-to-day services stay the same for now. Ministry of Investment transactions remain primarily through its own systems and channels, and no changes have been announced to the use of national e-government platforms such as أبشر, مقيم, قوى, ناجز, or نفاذ in direct relation to this ministerial change.

No new Saudi-riyal fees, validity periods, or application steps specific to this February 2026 leadership change have been published in public regulatory updates to date. Anyone with active or planned applications should continue following the ministry's official channels for the latest information.
