Falcons Center Continues 2026 Events After Auction

The National Center for Falcons has begun rolling out its packed 2026 events calendar following the close of the International Falcon Breeders Auction, held at its headquarters in Malham, north of الرياض, from 5 to 25 August 2026. Total sales at this year's auction exceeded SAR 33 million.

During the auction period, the Malham venue typically opened daily from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, welcoming visitors of all ages. Demand was strong throughout, with several individual falcons fetching prices in the hundreds of thousands of riyals. On the seventh night, a Canadian juvenile three-quarter gyr super white falcon sold for one of the season's standout prices.

Under new 2026 rules, only falcons purchased through the auction are eligible to compete in all local and international chick-racing categories organized or co-organized by the center, subject to race regulations. Falcons sold through the auction are automatically qualified to take part in popular falcon races across Saudi Arabia. Total prize money for the season's races and competitions reaches up to SAR 50 million, with the broader racing season prize pool standing at around USD 12.5 million (about SAR 46–47 million).

What comes next

The center's 2026 season continues with five major events running through the end of the year. The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026 takes place from 1 to 10 October at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, featuring activities in falconry, hunting, adventure, culture, entertainment, tourism and environment, with local and international companies taking part.

Alongside it, the Melwah Race 2026 runs from 4 to 9 October, with falconers competing for prizes and titles across several categories; all juvenile-category rounds are reserved for falcons sold through the auction. The National Falcon Center Auction for locally captured falcons runs from 1 October to 30 November 2026.
