flyadeal Weighs Post-2030 Fleet Options

Low-cost carrier flyadeal is moving closer to shaping its fleet strategy for the years beyond 2030, though the airline has not yet finalized its long-term plan. For now, the carrier is focused on reaching its current target of roughly 100 aircraft by the end of the decade as it prepares for its next major growth phase.

More recent figures point to a fleet of about 98 aircraft, tied to a planned capacity increase of 20 to 25 percent during 2026. The airline's next growth phase is set to begin in 2027, with monthly aircraft deliveries continuing through 2029 to build out the planned fleet size.

Among the options being considered for the post-2030 period is the addition of wide-body Airbus A330neo jets, which would open the door to longer-haul routes. Ten of these aircraft are reported as ordered, with deliveries expected to begin in 2027. A separate stream of A321neo narrow-body jets is also part of the plan, with deliveries starting around 2026 or shifting into 2027.

Public counts of flyadeal's current fleet vary depending on the reference date and whether the figure reflects delivered aircraft, the active operating fleet, or expected additions. Recent reports have cited numbers ranging from the low 30s to the high 40s.

For travelers across the Kingdom, a larger flyadeal fleet could mean more domestic and regional flight options, added capacity, and — if wide-body aircraft join the network — the possibility of longer routes in the future. The plans reflect the continued expansion of Saudi aviation as demand for air travel grows.
