A royal order has appointed Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth as Vice (Deputy) Minister of Media at the Excellent Grade. The order was issued on 12 February 2026, corresponding to 24 Sha'ban 1447 AH, placing him among the most senior officials within the Ministry of Media in Riyadh.
In his new role, Al-Maghlouth takes part in and chairs a number of senior bodies, including the Board of Directors of the Saudi Media Academy. He continues to be one of the country's leading figures in media and government communication.
A familiar name in Saudi media
Al-Maghlouth is well known for his previous positions in the sector. He served as Assistant Minister of Media at the Excellent Grade from 12 December 2023 until his latest appointment. Before that, he was the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Media and headed the government communication center for several years, and he is credited as the founder of the Center for Government Communication.
The Ministry of Media in Riyadh remains the competent authority for the appointment and for his current responsibilities, with official information available through the ministry's channels.
The move reflects continuity in leadership across the Kingdom's media institutions, an area that touches residents and expats alike through public information, government communication, and the development of national media talent.
