Saudi Ground Services Company confirmed it received written notice from flynas on 6 September 2026 to terminate their ground handling services agreement, with the termination taking effect on 5 March 2027. The contract covers ramp and passenger ground handling for all domestic and international flynas flights at airports across Saudi Arabia.
The five-year agreement runs from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2028, and the termination was exercised under a contractual clause allowing six months' prior written notice. Saudi Ground Services said it will continue serving flynas throughout the notice period until 5 March 2027, with no material impact expected on its 2026 financial results. The revenue impact is projected to begin on 6 March 2027.
The contract is financially significant for the company. It generated SAR 151.47 million in revenue during the first half of 2026, and full-year revenue for 2026 is projected at roughly SAR 306 million. When the deal was renewed in April 2024, its total value over the 2024–2028 term was estimated at about SAR 2 billion.
Investors reacted quickly. On 7 September 2026, Saudi Ground Services shares fell about 7% on the Saudi exchange, closing near SAR 24.62, with around 2.8 million shares traded and turnover of about SAR 70 million.
flynas has signed a new five-year ground handling agreement with Swissport Saudi Arabia Limited covering all commercial airports in Saudi Arabia, effective 6 March 2027 to 5 March 2032, with an option to renew for another five years by mutual agreement. The company noted the arrangement represents roughly 5% of its annual purchase volume. For travellers, day-to-day airport services with flynas are expected to continue as normal through the transition.
