The Government Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO) has activated flynas as a participating carrier under the unified framework agreement for government air travel (ERCAB), in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the National Center for Government Resource Systems.
With this step, the number of carriers taking part in the unified framework rises to four, alongside الخطوط السعودية, flyadeal and Riyadh Air. flynas signed the Unified Framework Agreement for Government Travel with EXPRO on 23 July 2026, for a duration of nine months and twenty-one days, remaining in effect until 14 May 2027.
The agreement covers passenger travel services for government entities on official duty, including ticketing and flight services used by public-sector employees. It has no fixed total value; instead, payments are made flynas expects the financial impact to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, once technical integration and activation are complete.
EXPRO says the activation aims to increase seat capacity, expand the destination network, broaden flight schedules and enhance booking flexibility, with different service packages tailored to public-sector employees and ERCAB beneficiaries. Government travel services are planned to start at the beginning of Q4 2026, subject to completion of the technical integration.
Why it matters
All government travel bookings under this framework are handled through Etimad, the official digital channel for creating ERCAB orders, booking and issuing electronic tickets. Adding flynas expands travel options on the platform and supports an integrated digital experience for government entities. The unified framework is intended to standardize prices offered to government bodies, improve service quality and unify specifications for government air travel across the public sector.
