Formula E STEM Program Reaches 4,500+ Saudi Pupils

A Formula E education program focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and sustainability reached 61,678 pupils worldwide during the 2024/25 season, with more than 4,500 of those enrolled across schools in Saudi Arabia, including sessions held in Riyadh, Jeddah and other cities.

The program, known as Driving Force Presented by PIF, targets pupils aged 8 to 18. It combines in-school workshops, ready-made lesson plans for teachers, and an online learning platform. The hands-on workshops in the Kingdom included practical sessions in Jeddah, giving students a chance to explore engineering and sustainability concepts through interactive activities.

The online element offers interactive modules split into two age groups, 8–12 and 12–18, covering STEM subjects, sustainability, future mobility, quizzes, challenges, and career pathways. No participation fee, paid registration, or government registration channel is required to take part, and no enrollment-validity or expiry period is specified.

Why it matters

For families and schools in Saudi Arabia, the program adds a free, structured resource that links classroom learning to real-world topics such as clean energy and the future of transport, areas of growing relevance to young people in the Kingdom.

In August 2026, the platform was expanded into a single unified online destination serving pupils, parents, and educators. Following that expansion, the program reported reaching 111,200 young people across more than 1,100 schools in Saudi Arabia, the United States, and the United Kingdom, including more than 4,500 pupils in Saudi Arabia.
