PIF Global Series to End After 2026 Season

Golf Saudi has announced that the PIF Global Series will conclude after the 2026 season and will not continue as a five-event series on the Ladies European Tour. The decision marks the end of a competition that has grown significantly since its launch in 2021.

Since its debut, the series has delivered 29 tournaments across three continents. The 2026 edition features five events with total prize funds of $15 million, approximately SAR 56.25 million. Among them, the 2026 PIF Saudi Ladies International was staged at Riyadh Golf Club in الرياض from February 9–15 with a $5 million purse, around SAR 18.75 million.

The remaining 2026 stops carried purses of $4 million in Las Vegas (about SAR 15 million), $2 million in London (about SAR 7.5 million), $2 million in South Korea (about SAR 7.5 million), and $2 million in China (about SAR 7.5 million). The final two events of the year are scheduled for South Korea in October and China in November.

A New Direction from 2027

From 2027, Golf Saudi's primary investment in women's golf will shift to a single event in the United Kingdom, renamed The Championship. The tournament will be co-sanctioned by the LPGA and the Ladies European Tour and will offer a $4 million purse, approximately SAR 15 million. The 2027 edition is scheduled for July 19–25, 2027.

For golf fans and residents across the Kingdom, the change reflects a more concentrated approach to women's golf on the global stage, following years of Saudi-backed events that brought international competition to الرياض and beyond.
