Saudi Para teams train in Japan for 2026 Asian Para Games

Saudi Arabia's national athletics, cycling, and boccia teams have arrived in Japan for a final training camp ahead of the 2026 Asian Para Games, part of the Kingdom's preparations for the continental event.

The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games are scheduled to take place from 18 to 24 October 2026, bringing together para athletes from across Asia in a wide range of disciplines.

Saudi Arabia is fielding a strong delegation of 41 male and female athletes competing across eight sports, including athletics, boccia, road cycling, and track cycling. The training camp gives the squads a chance to fine-tune their performance in conditions similar to those they will face during the games.

The participation highlights the growing presence of Saudi para athletes on the regional stage and the Kingdom's continued investment in inclusive sport. Camps like this one help athletes build competitive readiness, adapt to the host environment, and strengthen teamwork before a major multi-sport event.

For the community, the delegation's journey is a reminder of the opportunities being created for athletes of determination in the Kingdom, and of the national teams' ambition to deliver strong results when the games begin in October 2026.
