HUMAIN Plans $2.5B Fund for Saudi Data Centers

Saudi technology firm HUMAIN is planning a $2.5 billion fund to invest in data centers across Saudi Arabia, in partnership with MIS. The fund is designed to finance the construction of new digital infrastructure to meet rising demand for computing and cloud services in the Kingdom.

the fund would finance 250 megawatts (MW) of data-center capacity to be built by HUMAIN together with MIS. That capacity could be expanded over time to reach 1 gigawatt (GW). The financing structure is expected to combine both debt and equity.

BSF Capital is reported to act as the fund manager, while Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB) is set to begin approaching potential investors once the fund receives approval from the Capital Market Authority (CMA). The approval process is expected to take between two and three months.

Separately, a data-center contract between HUMAIN and MIS has been reported at SAR 1.88 billion, covering a 12-month project.

Why it matters

Data centers are a key part of Saudi Arabia's growing digital economy, supporting cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and local data storage. Expanding this infrastructure can improve online services and connectivity for residents and businesses alike, while attracting further technology investment into the Kingdom. For the wider community in Riyadh, Jeddah, and beyond, stronger local capacity means faster and more reliable digital services in the years ahead.
