Ithra Opens Character Design Workshop in Dhahran

King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran is hosting a five-session in-person workshop titled Creative Character Design, aimed at artists, illustrators, and graphic designers. The workshop runs from 11 August 2026 at 4:30 pm through 15 August 2026 at 9:30 pm (Saudi time), and takes place at Ithra Tower – Level 8, Classroom 2.

The training focuses on stylized character creation using Adobe Illustrator. Participants will learn to build simple flat characters, craft expressive faces, and work with bodies, proportions, and poses, while experimenting with a range of visual styles. The program is open to those who already have basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.

Classified under education and training, the workshop is part of Ithra's official 2026 program. Registration is handled entirely online through Ithra's official event listing and booking system on ithra.com. It is not processed through any government e-service platform, and attendance does not create any residency, employment, or governmental service record — participation is simply tied to the ticket booked under the attendee's Ithra account.

The specific fee is set and displayed at the time of booking and is charged per person for the full 11–15 August workshop. Comparable multi-day creative workshops at Ithra in recent seasons have ranged roughly between 250 and 600 SAR. Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, and participation is valid only for the scheduled dates, with no extended validity beyond the event period.

Ithra remains open to visitors during August 2026 with general hours of 9:00 am–11:30 pm Saturday through Wednesday, 9:00 am–12:30 am on Thursday, and 4:00 pm–12:30 am on Friday.
