Jeddah Airport Flight Disruptions Continue in October

Travellers flying to and from Jeddah faced continued disruption in October 2026, as several airlines cancelled or delayed flights on a number of regional and international routes. King Abdulaziz International Airport remained operational throughout, but passengers reported intermittent cancellations and delays.

Etihad suspended selected flights between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah through 13 October 2026, while a range of other flights to and from the city were cancelled through 15 October 2026. IndiGo cancelled services involving Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah through 17 October 2026.

The disruption affected both inbound and outbound travellers, including residents returning to the Kingdom and expats planning trips abroad. Because several carriers and multiple cities were involved, the knock-on effects extended beyond Jeddah to other major Saudi airports.

What travellers should do

Passengers with upcoming bookings on affected routes are advised to confirm their flight status directly with their airline before heading to the airport, and to review rebooking or refund options offered by the carrier. Keeping contact details up to date helps ensure timely notifications about schedule changes.

With cancellations and delays spread across different airlines and dates, planning ahead and allowing extra time can help reduce the impact on connections and onward travel.
