Families in Jeddah have a new free destination along the Red Sea coast, as a redesigned public park on the Corniche opens with walking tracks, children's play areas, and family facilities. The waterfront and the adjoining Middle Corniche Park are open-access spaces with no ticket, permit, or advance booking required.
The redesigned waterfront section stretches roughly 4.2 km within the wider Corniche strip along Al Kurnaysh Road (Corniche Road). Middle Corniche Park is located at 2403 Al Kurnaysh Br Rd in the Al-Hamra district, near the Ash Shati seafront. Both areas are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What's on offer
Visitors will find multiple walking tracks, promenades, bike paths, and green areas, along with children's playgrounds available for free use. There are family seating and picnic areas, shaded rest zones, designated beaches and watersport areas, interactive water fountains, sculptures, a marina dock, kiosks, and phone-charging stations. Public restrooms are distributed along the waterfront. A typical visit lasts between one and three hours.
Entry to the Corniche and its playgrounds and walking tracks is completely free. Some visitors to Middle Corniche Park report a toilet-use fee of around 10 SAR though no fixed central tariff is published, so charges may vary by operator.
For those travelling to the park, a bus fare from Al Andalus to Middle Corniche Park runs about 5 SAR one way, while ride-hailing or taxi trips from nearby Jeddah districts typically cost between 15 and 30 SAR each way depending on distance and traffic.
The upgraded park adds another accessible, no-cost option for residents and families looking to enjoy the seafront without registration or fees, reinforcing Jeddah's coastline as a year-round public space.
