Jeddah Corniche Road Renamed Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Road

Jeddah has officially renamed one of its best-known thoroughfares, with Corniche Road becoming Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Road. The change took effect on 22 September 2026 and applies to the full length of the coastal route.

The road stretches roughly 17 kilometres, running from Al-Nakheel Street in the north to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Road (Al-Tahlia Road) in the south. Along the way it passes through the Al-Shati and Al-Murjan districts and overlooks the waterfront.

What it means for residents

The renaming is purely a change of name. There are no fees, prices, or expiry dates connected to it, and residents do not need to complete any step through أبشر, مقيم, نفاذ, or any other government platform.

For a route this central to daily life in جدة — linking neighbourhoods, beaches, and one of the city's most popular seaside stretches — the new name will gradually appear in everyday reference and signage. Based on the information available, there are no official details yet about updating documents, maps, or property records to reflect the new name.
