Jeddah Hotels See Post-Hajj Domestic Demand Boost

Business groups in Jeddah say the city's hotel sector is drawing renewed support from domestic travelers moving through the region after the Hajj season, along with growing leisure trips linked to البحر الأحمر. The trend points to steady demand from within the Kingdom rather than a single source of visitors.

Across Saudi Arabia, hotel occupancy reached 66.3% in the first quarter of 2026, with an average daily rate of SR805.5. Madinah led all markets during that period at 82% occupancy, while Makkah stood at about 59.8% and Jeddah at roughly 59.2%.

Looking at a wider window, national hotel occupancy averaged 63.4% between January and April 2026. The average daily rate over those four months was recorded at SR754, with revenue

Jeddah's hospitality market softened as the year progressed. One market report placed Jeddah hotels at 49.3% occupancy across the first four months of 2026, while a separate figure cited a Jeddah average daily rate of about SR635 around May 2026.
