Khuzama Unveiled as 2027 Asian Cup Match Ball

The official match ball for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 was unveiled on 29 September 2026, carrying the name KHUZAMA. The reveal comes as the Kingdom prepares to host Asia's premier national-team football tournament from 7 January to 5 February 2027.

The name KHUZAMA refers to the wild lavender that grows across many parts of Saudi Arabia, giving the ball a distinctly local identity. Its design combines purple and white elements, chosen to keep the ball highly visible both in daylight matches and under stadium floodlights.

What it means for fans

With the tournament now a little over three months away, the launch of the match ball marks another step in the build-up to a major sporting month for the country. Football fans across the Kingdom, including residents and expats in Riyadh and Jeddah, can expect a packed calendar of matches during the winter window.

Official tickets are available through the Ahlan ticketing platform. Prices start from SAR 30, while premium-category seats begin at SAR 100, making the event accessible to a wide range of supporters and families planning to attend the games in person.

The 2027 edition is set to draw visitors from across the continent, adding to Saudi Arabia's growing list of large-scale international sporting events. For local communities, it offers an opportunity to enjoy top-level football close to home over nearly a full month of competition.
