King Saud University Starts Online Orientation for Students

King Saud University has begun the electronic phase of its orientation program for newly admitted Common First-Year students for the 1448 AH academic year. The online phase started on Thursday, September 17, 2026, marking the first step in a program designed to prepare students for their university journey.

The orientation runs in two stages: an initial electronic phase followed by an interactive, in-person phase. During the online stage, students are asked to review the university's regulations, complete their required personal information, and learn how to use the university email system. They must also book an appointment for the interactive activities and complete the English-language placement test.

The interactive phase brings students to campus for an orientation lecture, the issuance of university ID cards, and the distribution of textbooks. It also features an exhibition introducing the university's colleges, departments, student services, and supporting entities.

For thousands of new students and their families across the Kingdom, the two-stage format allows learners to handle key administrative steps online before arriving on campus, easing the transition into university life. Completing tasks such as the placement test and email setup ahead of time helps students start the academic year better prepared.

The program, presented under the theme "Preparing You for Your University Journey," is confirmed for 2026 to include both the electronic and interactive phases for the Common First-Year intake.
