King Saud University Names New Board of Directors

King Saud University has reconstituted its Board of Directors following official approval in September 2026, with the newly formed board holding its first meeting on 10 September 2026. The board is chaired by Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf.

The board brings together senior government figures, including the ministers of education, human resources and social development, transport and logistics services, and communications and information technology. This mix reflects a broad approach that links higher education with the labour market, technology, and infrastructure.

Membership also includes the president of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the CEO of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, the president of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, a Public Investment Fund representative, a representative of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, and the president of King Saud University.

The reconstituted board is expected to guide the university's strategic direction, strengthen research and innovation, and align academic programmes with national priorities in the years ahead.

For students, faculty, and the wider community in Riyadh, the announcement concerns the university's governance and leadership. It is an administrative matter, and no fees, prices, validity periods, or online transaction steps apply.
