Riyadh Marathon 2026 Draws Thousands of Runners

Thousands of runners gathered in the capital for the Riyadh Marathon 2026, held on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. The event was hosted by the Saudi Sports for All Federation and welcomed participants across a range of ages and fitness levels.

Runners could choose from four categories: the full marathon (42.195 km), the half marathon (21.0975 km), a 10 km race, and a 5 km fun run. Entry fees were set at SAR 149 for the full marathon, SAR 119 for the half marathon, SAR 85 for the 10 km, and SAR 62 for the 5 km. All categories were sold out ahead of race day.

Age requirements varied by distance: participants in the full marathon needed to be 20 or older, the half marathon was open to those 18 and above, the 10 km required a minimum age of 17, and the 5 km welcomed all ages, with children required to be accompanied by an adult.

Ahead of the main race, the Riyadh Marathon Festival ran from 28 to 30 January 2026 at Princess Nourah University, offering free public entry and bringing the community together before race weekend.

Registration and participant confirmation were handled through the official Riyadh Marathon registration website, with confirmed runners receiving a QR code by email. Events like these continue to strengthen Riyadh's growing running culture and offer residents of all backgrounds an accessible way to take part in community sport.
