Mahd Academy is opening football talent tryouts across 16 Saudi cities between September and December 2026, giving young players nationwide the chance to be discovered as part of a free national talent-discovery initiative.
The tryouts will take place in Abha, Makkah, Tabuk, Jazan, Hail, Qassim, Hafr Al-Batin, Al-Baha, Madinah, Arar, Yanbu, Najran, Sakaka, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Taif and Al-Kharj. They target players born between 2013 and 2017, and registration and participation are free of charge, with no fees stated for signing up or attending.
How registration works
Interested players register online through Mahd Academy's official tryouts portal at mahd.gov.sa/try-outs. The process forms part of Mahd's talent identification and admissions pipeline: athletes are first registered and nominated, then invited to scheduled performance trials. Evaluation usually runs in two stages — a one-day first performance trial, followed by an extended one-week second trial for a deeper assessment.
Eligibility covers Saudi citizens, children of Saudi mothers, and Saudi-born residents. Registration is open to both boys and girls within the academy's wider talent-discovery framework. Mahd confirms that its academy and Sports Talents School run as free national initiatives, with no tuition or participation fees for accepted talents.
Participation is managed directly through Mahd's own website and platforms, and is not processed via Absher, Muqeem, Qiwa, Najiz, Nafath or Tawakkalna. For clarifications, families can reach the Beneficiary Service Center on 920016843 or by email at Info@mahd.gov.sa. The academy is located on Al Diwan Street, Al Rafia district, Riyadh.
For families in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, the initiative offers a straightforward, cost-free path for talented children to be assessed by a national sports program.
