NWC Names Yasser Al Hakami as Official Spokesperson

The National Water Company (NWC) has named Yasser Ahmed Al Hakami as its official spokesperson, effective September 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening the company's communication with the media and the public across the Kingdom.

In his role, Al Hakami will serve as the designated point of contact for the media and public on matters related to water services and environmental treatment. He concurrently leads the company's public relations and official spokesperson functions from Riyadh, overseeing media relations, corporate narrative, events and protocol, and corporate social responsibility programs.

Al Hakami holds a bachelor's degree in Media and Communication from Imam Muhammad bin Saud University and brings more than 16 years of experience in media and public relations, including previous roles as spokesperson for several government entities.

What it means for customers

The appointment does not introduce any new fees, service prices, validity periods, or procedural changes for customers. Water and wastewater services continue to be handled through NWC's own channels, including the official website and e-services portal, the customer call center on 939, the NWC mobile application for bills and payments, and the company's official social media accounts.

The change also does not add any new steps through government platforms such as Absher, Muqeem, Qiwa, Najiz, Nafath, or Tawakkalna, as customer processes remain within NWC's channels. Media inquiries and requests for official statements on projects, tariffs, or service issues are now directed through the spokesperson's office and NWC media relations channels, with Al Hakami as the official representative.

The step reflects NWC's ongoing efforts to enhance engagement with the media and stakeholders in its role leading water distribution and environmental services nationally.
