PIF Takes Full Stake in Four Top Saudi Clubs

The Public Investment Fund began in August 2026 the process of transferring the remaining 25% stakes in four of the country's biggest football clubs — Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal, and Al-Nassr — as part of a wider restructuring of the sports sector.

The move followed the completion of the required regulatory procedures. As part of the restructuring, the non-profit boards that previously oversaw the four clubs were dissolved.

What this means

The step consolidates ownership of the four clubs, bringing the remaining minority stakes under the same investment umbrella. It reflects the continued reorganization of Saudi football, which has drawn significant local and international attention in recent seasons.

For fans and residents, this is a structural ownership change rather than a service or ticketing matter. No fees, application steps, or public service channels are associated with the transfer, and it does not affect any citizen or resident procedures.

Saudi Living will continue to follow developments in the Kingdom's sports sector and report on updates that matter to the community.
