PIF Targets Six Priority Sectors in 2026-2030 Plan

The Public Investment Fund is channeling its domestic investments into six priority ecosystems under its 2026–2030 strategy, framing them as the primary engines for national development within its domestic Vision Portfolio.

The six ecosystems are tourism, travel and entertainment; urban development and livability; advanced manufacturing and innovation; industrials and logistics; clean energy, water and renewables infrastructure; and NEOM as a standalone ecosystem. These sit within a broader capital plan built around three portfolios: a Strategic Portfolio of large domestic companies with regional and global potential, a profit-seeking global Financial Portfolio, and the domestic Vision Portfolio.

What each sector includes

In tourism, travel and entertainment, anchor platforms include Red Sea Global, Qiddiya, Riyadh Air, and King Salman International Airport. Urban development and livability is led by ROSHN, KAFD, New Murabba, and Jeddah Central Development Company. Advanced manufacturing and innovation concentrates on AI, advanced technology and industrial localization, with companies such as Humain, Alat, Ceer, Lifera, and Saudi Arabian Military Industries.

Industrials and logistics focus on metals, mining, ports and export infrastructure through Ma'aden, Bahri, Hadeed, and Saudi Arabia Railways. The clean energy, water and renewables ecosystem covers renewable generation, desalination, recycling, storage and grid assets, with platforms including ACWA Power, Badeel, and Saudi Investment Recycling Company. The NEOM ecosystem centers on ports, the Oxagon manufacturing hub, green hydrogen, and future-industry platforms.

The strategy also emphasizes capital recycling, relying more on portfolio companies' retained earnings and private capital. For residents, the plan signals continued momentum across jobs, housing, travel and infrastructure that shape daily life in the Kingdom.
