Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund has published its updated strategy for the 2026-2030 period, setting out a roadmap for the Kingdom's continued economic transformation. The strategy was approved on 15 April 2026 and made public on 12 August 2026.
The plan centres on building competitive domestic economic ecosystems, raising investment efficiency and securing sustainable financial returns. It also aims to widen private-sector participation, unlock value from strategic assets, and support both the national economic transformation and quality of life for residents.
Six domestic ecosystems
The strategy identifies six priority ecosystems: tourism, travel and entertainment; urban development and real estate; advanced manufacturing and innovation; industry and logistics; clean energy, water and renewable infrastructure; and NEOM.
To structure its investments, the Fund organises its activities into three portfolios: the Vision Portfolio, the Strategic Investments Portfolio, and the Financial Investments Portfolio.
For residents and expats across the Kingdom, the strategy signals continued momentum in sectors that shape daily life — from housing and real estate to entertainment, travel and logistics. Expanded private-sector involvement is also expected to create new business and employment opportunities. Official strategy documents and further announcements are available through the Fund's own channels and official Saudi government platforms.
