A new championship golf destination is coming to Qiddiya City: the National Golf Club is set to open on 30 October 2026. Located about 45 km from Riyadh beneath the dramatic Tuwaiq cliffs, the venue aims to welcome players of all levels, from professionals to first-timers.
The course is an 18-hole championship layout designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Importantly, membership is not required, meaning amateurs, beginners, families, and tourists can all book and play without joining as members.
The design is built around three six-hole loops, giving golfers the flexibility to play a shorter round or complete a full 18 holes depending on their time and skill level. A dedicated clubhouse will be operating from opening day, while a larger clubhouse, driving range, and golf academy are planned for 2028.
Why it matters
The club will be operated by Golf Saudi under a five-year management agreement, reflecting growing investment in accessible sports and leisure around the capital. For residents and visitors in Riyadh, it offers a new outdoor destination that caters to both serious players and casual beginners.
Official booking, coaching, operating hours, guest information, and prices are available through thenationalgolfclub.sa. Green fees, opening-day booking availability, and operating hours have not yet been published in the available official information, so visitors are encouraged to check the official website for details closer to the opening date.
