Qiddiya Reveals Gaming and Esports District Plans

Qiddiya has unveiled plans for a dedicated Gaming & Esports District within Qiddiya City, located southwest of Riyadh. The project, first announced in December 2023, is set to become a major hub for gaming and competitive esports in the region as development advances in phases.

the district will include four esports arenas with a combined tournament capacity of approximately 73,000 seats. One of the arenas is designed to hold around 5,155 seats. The district is also planned to host facilities for up to 25 esports clubs and regional headquarters for more than 30 gaming companies.

What to know for now

As of 2026, the Gaming & Esports District is not a fully operating public attraction, and construction is proceeding in stages. No official admission fee, venue-by-venue price list, operating timetable, or booking procedure has been published for the district so far.

There are currently no district-specific restaurants, hotels, gaming venues, or attractions with confirmed public prices and timings. Visitor access does not require any government platform procedure. It is also worth noting that tickets for individual esports events, including those held elsewhere in Riyadh, are separate from any future admission to the district and do not indicate its prices.

For the community, the district signals a long-term investment in gaming and entertainment near the capital, offering future opportunities for fans, gamers, and industry professionals once phases open to the public. Residents and visitors should wait for official announcements before planning any visit.
