A newly opened hospital has begun serving The Red Sea destination on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. Named Red Sea Hospital and located in the Turtle Bay area, the facility is operated and managed by Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group under a strategic partnership with البحر الأحمر (Red Sea Global).
The hospital has a capacity of 44 beds and provides emergency services, inpatient care, outpatient clinics, specialized services, surgical facilities, radiology, laboratory, pharmaceutical services, and digital health services. It is fully licensed by the Ministry of Health and designed to meet national and international standards.
Red Sea Hospital serves as the centerpiece of the “Red Sea Health” network, which includes plans for two hospitals, six pharmacies, and an emergency medical services network capable of rapid response and patient transport. The wider network is designed to serve both The Red Sea and Amaala destinations.
Why it matters
The hospital is expected to serve employees, residents, and guests at The Red Sea destination, as well as communities across the wider Red Sea region. Its opening supports healthcare access in Saudi Arabia's new tourism destinations and links to the Health Sector Transformation Program under رؤية السعودية 2030.
Under the operation and maintenance agreement, the contract term runs for five years from the start of hospital operations, extendable for an additional five years under agreed conditions, with the possibility of a further five-year extension by mutual agreement. The contract scope covers staffing across medical, nursing, technical, and administrative roles, medication and medical supply management, and non-medical support services. The financial impact of the contract begins in the fourth quarter of 2025.
As of now, no official fee schedules or ريال سعودي prices for consultations, emergency visits, admissions, or procedures have been published.
