Saudi Arabia has completed its September domestic sukuk allocation totaling SAR 1.640 billion under the Saudi Arabian Government SAR-denominated Sukuk Program, issued by the Ministry of Finance and managed by the National Debt Management Center (NDMC).
The allocation was distributed across six tranches with maturities spanning 2029 to 2041. The first tranche was set at SAR 205 million (maturing 2029), followed by SAR 650 million (2031), SAR 50 million (2033), SAR 25 million (2036), SAR 5 million (2039), and SAR 705 million (2041).
How Investors Access These Sukuk
Primary market participation in this domestic issuance runs through NDMC-arranged bookbuilding with licensed Saudi capital market institutions, including major local investment and capital market firms acting as distribution channels to institutional investors. Access is not through citizen service platforms such as أبشر, مقيم, قوى, ناجز, نفاذ, or توكلنا.
Retail individuals typically gain exposure to government sukuk through Saudi exchange-listed instruments and local mutual funds or ETFs, using ordinary brokerage accounts on the Saudi capital market. Separately, the "Sah" sukuk savings product remains available for individuals.
Official closure notices as of mid-September disclosed the total allocated amounts and maturities, while specific profit rates, yields, and issue prices for each tranche were not itemized publicly.
For the community, regular domestic sukuk issuance reflects the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to develop its local debt market and offer savers and institutions diversified, riyal-denominated investment channels.
