Saudi Arabia offered its “Sah” government savings sukuk for the month of October 2026, providing eligible Saudi citizens a fixed annual return of 5% over a one-year term. The subscription window ran from 10:00 a.m. on 4 October to 3:00 p.m. on 6 October 2026 (Saudi time) and has now closed.
Each sukuk is valued at SAR 1,000, with a minimum subscription of one sukuk (SAR 1,000) and a maximum of 200 sukuk (SAR 200,000). The profit is paid to subscribers at maturity, at the end of the one-year period.
The product is aimed at Saudi citizens aged 18 or older. Subscriptions are handled through official digital channels operated by SNB Capital, AlJazira Capital, Alinma Investment, SAB Invest, and Al Rajhi Capital. The sukuk are issued and arranged by the Ministry of Finance and the National Debt Management Center.
Why it matters
Sah is designed as a low-risk, government-backed way for citizens to grow their savings. No separate subscription fee was specified, and no Zakat is charged on the Sah product, which makes the headline return straightforward to understand.
With a fixed 5% rate and a modest SAR 1,000 entry point, the offering targets first-time and everyday savers looking for a secure place to set money aside. The monthly format means those who missed the October window will typically have future opportunities to subscribe when new issuances open.
