Saudi Arabia Beats UAE 2-0 to Win Gulf Cup

Saudi Arabia's national football team lifted the 2026 Arabian Gulf Cup after defeating the United Arab Emirates 2–0 in the final held in Jeddah, securing the country's fourth Gulf Cup title and its first since 2004.

The Saudi side raced into an early lead, with Hammam Al-Hammami opening the scoring in the 11th minute. Just two minutes later, Firas Al-Buraikan doubled the advantage in the 13th minute, settling the contest well before the break.

The quickfire double gave the national team firm control of the final, allowing them to manage the remainder of the match and hold on to the clean sheet until the final whistle.

The victory marks a significant milestone for Saudi football, ending a long wait for the regional trophy that stretched back more than two decades. The title adds to the Kingdom's growing list of sporting achievements and is expected to be celebrated widely by fans across Riyadh, Jeddah, and beyond.

For football supporters in the community, the win offers a proud moment heading into a busy sporting calendar, reinforcing the national team's standing ahead of upcoming regional and international competitions.
