Saudi Arabia is stepping up its efforts to welcome travelers from China, with the national tourism authority expanding partnerships across Chinese travel, technology, payment and distribution companies to make trips to the Kingdom easier to plan and book.
As part of the push, a network of 10 Saudi destinations has been prepared for Chinese visitors, supported by more than 30 destination-management companies. The initiatives focus on smoother access to sites, Mandarin-language support, digital-payment options, direct-flight connectivity and end-to-end travel services covering everything from trip planning through arrival and accommodation.
How Chinese travelers can apply
Eligible Chinese passport holders can apply for entry through the official Visit Saudi eVisa portal. The tourist eVisa is generally valid for one year, allows multiple entries, and permits stays of up to 90 days. It can be used for tourism and Umrah, but not for Hajj or employment.
The eVisa fee is shown during the online application and includes applicable VAT. For shorter visits, a Saudi transit or stopover visa arranged through الخطوط السعودية permits a stay of up to 96 hours.
For the Kingdom's residents and expat communities, the move reflects the broader growth of inbound tourism and the range of services being tailored for international visitors. As more destinations open up with multilingual support and modern payment systems, the tourism sector continues to build on the goals set under رؤية السعودية 2030.
Travelers are advised to review eligibility, fees and current requirements directly on the official application portal before booking, as fee amounts are displayed at the time of application.
