The Saudi national football team played out a goalless draw with Senegal in an international friendly on 9 June 2026 at Toyota Field in San Antonio, Texas. The match, watched by around 3,500 spectators, ended 0-0 at full time with no penalty shoot-out.
The fixture was the final warm-up match for both sides ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Saudi Arabia went into the game unbeaten in their previous two friendlies, having beaten Puerto Rico 3-0. At the time of the match, Saudi Arabia were ranked around 58th in the world, while Senegal stood at approximately 18th.
Saudi Arabia created several chances and enjoyed spells of dominance during the encounter, but neither side could find the net. The result also brought an end to Senegal's run of scoring in 11 consecutive matches. The African side finished the game with ten men after Nicolas Jackson was shown a red card around the 84th minute. The match was officiated by referee Víctor Manuel Rivas.
The evening kick-off gave both teams a final competitive test before the World Cup begins. For Saudi supporters, the clean sheet and the balanced display against a higher-ranked opponent offered encouraging signs as the team completes its preparations for the tournament.
