Saudi Arabia Beats Oman 3-0, Reaches Gulf Cup Semis

Saudi Arabia booked its place in the semifinals of the Arabian Gulf Cup after defeating Oman 3–0 in a Group A clash held on 26 September 2026 at Alinma Bank Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah.

Firas Al-Buraikan opened the scoring in the 11th minute and added a second in the 34th minute for his brace, while Hassan Kadesh netted in between with a goal in the 18th minute. The three first-half strikes gave the national team a commanding lead that carried through to the final whistle.

The victory lifted Saudi Arabia to six points from its opening two matches, confirming qualification to the knockout stage with a game to spare. It marks a strong start to the tournament for the Green Falcons in front of home supporters in Jeddah.

Saudi Arabia will close out the group stage against Iraq on Tuesday, 29 September 2026. Although a semifinal berth is already secured, the result of that match will decide who tops Group A and shapes the path ahead in the competition.

For fans across the Kingdom, the win offers an early boost of excitement as the national team continues its campaign on home soil, keeping momentum high heading into the decisive later rounds.
