Saudi Arabia issued 364 new industrial licenses in June 2026, with associated investments reaching approximately SAR 4.46 billion, The new licenses are expected to create more than 3,138 jobs across the Kingdom.
Alongside the newly issued permits, 164 factories began production during the month, drawing investments of around SAR 1.88 billion. These operating facilities are projected to add roughly 2,567 jobs to the labor market.
The activity brought the total number of existing industrial facilities in the Kingdom to about 14,228 by the end of June 2026, reflecting steady expansion in the country's manufacturing base.
Why it matters
The growth of the industrial sector is a central pillar of the Kingdom's economic diversification efforts under رؤية السعودية 2030. For residents and expats, an expanding manufacturing base means more employment opportunities, wider local production, and a stronger non-oil economy.
The combination of new licenses and factories moving into production signals continued momentum in industrial investment, supporting job creation in cities and industrial zones across the country.
